The desire of societies to preserve and transmit their cultural, moral, and spiritual values to future generations has made the concept of the ideal individual and ideal society an important issue throughout history. Values such as trust, honesty, love, respect, solidarity, self-sacrifice, and diligence have consistently been regarded as the fundamental characteristics of an ideal individual. Throughout history, the Turkish nation, with its strong sense of civilization, has established a powerful social structure in Anatolia and contributed significantly to humanity through exemplary individuals it has raised. However, the social, cultural, and global developments experienced in the last century have demonstrated that material power alone is insufficient and that there is also a need for a strong model of individuals and society. In this regard, the 2023 goals shaping Türkiye’s future vision, particularly the reforms in education, have gained significant importance.

Within the framework of the 2023 Education Vision, it is aimed to educate individuals who can think critically, conduct research, question information, and remain open to universal developments while preserving their own cultural values. In line with this understanding, it is emphasized that individuals should develop a perspective that enables them both to recognize their own culture and to understand the wider world. Universities and non-governmental organizations also undertake important responsibilities in the construction of this ideal model of individuals and society. In this context, the 2nd International Congress on New Approaches in Education was organized under the theme of “The Human and Society Model in the 2023 Vision” to address current discussions in the field of education. The congress aims to contribute to the production of scientific knowledge regarding the future model of individuals and society by bringing together academics, researchers, and educational stakeholders. It is intended that the book will contribute to the production of scientific knowledge regarding the model of individuals and society in our country.
